The Eagle beermats on table

This isn’t any ordinary pub. The Eagle is where Francis Crick and James Watson announced they had discovered ‘the secret of life,’ the structure of DNA. But there’s a little-known side to the story. The original sketch of the double helix structure was brought to life by Odile Crick, a lecturer at Cambridge School of Art. The iconic image is still used today.

Stop by for a pint of DNA – an ale made especially for the pub.
