Events — Guest talk Online2 March 2021, 18:00
If you've got an interest in the publishing industry--from the bookselling or the book-writing side--and ever wondered how events in bookshops are set up and run, this session will reveal all!
Dr Amy Crawford, the Events Coordinator at Waterstones Cambridge, who has run events for all age groups and sizes, will be with us to share her insider's view of this most public-facing element of the publishing industry. The session will include a description of the role of events manager, the types of events run, and how the events are planned to benefit the shop, the authors and the publishing houses. There will even be a short activity for attendees to do before the Q&A.
