Contact Improvisation is a dance practice based in two or more bodies moving in contact. It involves exploration through movement improvisation by using the fundamentals of sharing weight, touch, being kinetically aware and finding a point of contact between you and your partner(s). Sometimes wild and athletic, other times quiet and meditative, it is a form open to all bodies and enquiring minds. Contact Improvisation started in 1972 with a performance in NYC as a project of American Choreographer Steve Paxton and has evolved to a whole new way of moving.

All levels welcome, it's free to attend - come join!
