Private View: Thursday 25 July, 6-8pm. All welcome.

The exhibition continues daily up to and including Sunday 29 July, opening times 11am-4pm daily.

Featuring the work of students Olivia Bevan and Ivanna Wilson - please join us at the private view to celebrate these artists’ achievements.

Both artists moved to Cambridge in September 2023 to start their MA courses – Olivia from Cape Town, South Africa, and Ivanna from Oklahoma, United States. The exhibition emphasises these artists’ experiences with a fragmented sense of self and place, featuring visual explorations of sculptural forms, collage, printed ceramics and installation.

FRAGMENT is about both the act of deconstructing – to fragment or to fall to pieces – and also refers to a broken off piece of a whole, something detached or incomplete.

The exhibition represents the work of two very different artists, yet their experiences of relocation and a fragmented sense of home has united them. While Olivia uses deconstructed painting and abstraction to break up landscape places into fragments of vivid colour and shape, Ivanna works in photography, ceramics and print, exposing intimate pieces of the female body in black and white.
