"Seeing Myself" (Equality, Diversity & Inclusion) Guest Talks: In conversation with AHSS Alumnus Asanté Boyce

Events — Talk Online
10 November 2021, 16:00

“Dear 18 year old me… lessons I would share with myself on navigating the present and present”

ARU Alumnus, Asanté Boyce graduated with a BA Honours in Criminology and Sociology. Her dissertation gained her the opportunities to host a podcast with both the BBC and ARU and in October 2020 Asanté delivered a webinar on Black British history. Having previously led a talk as part of the 'Seeing Myself' project entitled: 'Dear 16 year old me,', she is now back to give a follow up. As many students experience, the pressures of society to forge a successful career and academic experience can be felt both during and after studies. Asanté's talk will explore her student journey both prior and since graduating, as well as lessons she wishes she could send in a letter to her 18-year old self

All welcome.
