Introducing ARU and Shakespeare's Globe collaborative project

ARU is collaborating with Shakespeare's Globe to produce five short films, streamed across the Globe's social media platforms in June '22.  

The 1-minute films will be inspired by one of ten extracts provided by the Globe. They will be bold, ambitious, and daring interpretations of the texts. Rap battles, rouge robots, musicals, sci-fi, animations – surprising ideas are welcome!

Each selected film will receive a healthy budget. We’d like to see the money on the screen. Whether that is the star performer, killer special effects, or an ambitious idea brilliantly realised.  

Applications are invited from students across AHSS. It does not matter if you have had no experience of filmmaking. If your idea is good enough and you demonstrate yourself to be a collaborative individual, a film crew can be found for you.
