Mill Road Poetry - March Readings

Events —
14 March 2024, 18:30

Inspired by two sell-out Mill Road Fringe events, a new-sprung poetry group is bringing spoken word to Cambridge in 2024. Poetry brings together the many voices of our city and enables us to explore ourselves and the world around us within a supportive community. Furious, joyful, timid or loud, all poetry is welcome, so please come along. Four poetry evenings will take place across the spring and autumn, in partnership with Hot Numbers cafe, near ARU on Gwydir Street: 14th March, 30th May, 10th October and 28th November.

Readers will include members of local creative writing groups and poets who have contacted Mill Road Fringe Poetry following the recent poetry evening. However, we are eager to hear your work so please email lottie.walker@hotmail.co.uk if you would like to perform. The events will be led by writer Lottie Walker in collaboration with ARU lecturer and poet Jon Stone.

Entry: £5
Doors: 6.30pm
Performance starts: 7.00pm
Ends: 9.00pm

Book tickets via Eventbrite. Refreshments will be available for purchase throughout the evening.
