Professor Corinne Fowler (University of Leicester): Colonial Countryside. Or, When Heritage Gets Political?

Professor Corinne Fowler is based at the University of Leicester, and is Director of Colonial Countryside: National Trust Houses Reinterpreted. She is the author of the book Green Unpleasant Land. Professor Fowler is an expert in the legacies of colonialism and postcolonialism to literature, heritage and representations of British history.Professor Fowler will talk to staff and students about her work on stately homes and the legacy of empires and slavery.
