Sustainability Art Prize 2022 - International Exchange and collaboration between students of ARU and Universidad Del Norte

Events — Talk ZOOM
25 February 2021, 13:30

‘If the cloud allows’ is an international participatory work in which artist Sally Stenton (ARU) collaborated with Dr. Nawrast Sabah Abd Alwahab (University of Basrah, Department of Geology). For this work Sally and Nawrast involved local participants and on the 16th October 2018, they performed a walk in a circle, at the same time in Basrah, Iraq, and Cambridge, UK, treading on the same earth and gazing at the same moon.

Sally and Nawrast will be giving a talk about this work and will be sharing their experiences of collaborating through different time zones, landscapes and cultural backgrounds. We hope that this talk will inspire students in both ARU and Universidad del Norte to explore creative ways of engaging in knowledge exchange and collaborative work.

Call to engage in international creative collaborations! SAP22 has created opportunities for ARU students to collaborate with students of Universidad del Norte (Columbia), please contct marina.velez@marinavelez.com for further information.
