Unmasked Exhibition Virtual PV - MA Fine Art
Events — Online Private View Microsoft Teams13 April 2021, 17:30
Unmasked suggests the act of unveiling, or revealing some hitherto hidden and concealed objects, processes, or ideas. For the first time these 10 emergent UK and internationally based artists come together to explore various aspects of their own hidden psyches, which are now exposed and in full view. From art works including the uses of sculpture, film and sound, each artist approaches their practice in diverse ways, and with a variety of creative outcomes. What was once hidden now takes centre-stage, and you as onlooker must further explore the issues presented; which range from personal responses to loss and the environment, to introspective views of identity.
All the artists represented here have continued their practices in isolation throughout the recent lockdowns, and so the act of unmasking, unveiling and revealing of new work takes on an additional significance.
Unmasked virtual exhibition commences on Instagram on Wednesday 26th March 2021 - find us on @Unmasked.Exhibition
