As part of the MA Fine Art and MA Printmaking module 'Acts & Discourses', we have invited artist Caroline Wright to talk about her site-responsive art-practice, including To The River is a public art commission to celebrate the story of the River Cam in Cambridge commissioned public art projects in Cambridge and other projects.

Caroline Wright is an artist and practice-based researcher whose practice is site responsive. Her doctoral research explores the connections, entanglements and relationships of eroded coastal material and the sea swimming and walking body where sensation and bearing corporeal witness to a disappearing coastline may articulate understanding of change and adaptation. She has exhibited work internationally and has completed commissions for festivals, galleries and universities including ITV, Cambridge University, Norfolk and Norwich Festival, London 2021, PSi19 Stanford University and The Scott Polar Museum. Caroline teaches at the University for the Creative Arts, and is Programme Leader for Fine Art at their Open College of the Arts.
