Nancy Pardo

Nancy is a fiction writer, researcher, and community advocate. She holds an MA in Professional Writing from Old Dominion University, USA, and an MA in Creative Writing from Anglia Ruskin University. She has worked in newspaper and travel journalism, and in the high-tech sector. Nancy is a strong proponent of nature journaling for improved mental health and is particularly interested in empowering women to get outdoors and connect with the natural environment. She teaches nature writing in the Cambridge community for those experiencing mental ill-health and other health conditions. She is currently working on a collection of contemporary short stories as part of her PhD at Anglia Ruskin. Her research explores women’s experiences of nature through themes of legacy and inheritance, family, connection and disconnection, patriarchy, and male violence; drawing on the fields of feminist ecocriticism, environmental criticism and ecopsychology.
