Luna Davey

Criminology and Sociology - BA (Hons)

Luna Davey is a highly ambitious B.A. Hons Sociology and Criminology graduate, studying at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, in which she is expected to achieve a 1st class grade. Luna recently completed a primary-based research dissertation as part of her third-year modules. This involved gathering public perceptions through a self-completion questionnaire, fuelling a discussion around gender equality, misogynistic harassment and the current legislation which surrounds these societal issues. Originally focused upon producing a Criminology-based dissertation, she later realised that the topics she intended to research further were more suited to a Sociological study, and as a result, she decided to take a Sociological approach. Because of this in-depth research, Luna has applied to further her understanding and knowledge of the subject through Postgraduate study, specifically focusing on Sociology and research methods. Inspired by her third-year major project, she is keen to conduct similar research during her Masters qualification. Her future ambitions beyond university include pursuing a career within the field of Sociology, particularly in relation to crime and the legal system.
