Lyydia Osara is a fine art photographer working in expressing deep emotion trough her abstract work. ‘Invisible Pattern’ explores life that is affected by mental illnesses. Mental illnesses are invisible diseases. It’s impossible to physically see the effects within the human mind. It is easier to understand the effect of physical problems, rather than the abstract struggles that take place in the mind.

This is why Lyydia's project was created using abstract imagery to explore mental health. She wants to express pure emotion through the work, to release her emotional extremes - even if just for a moment. Mental health is still very stigmatised and this exploration of her own mental health is created to encourage conversation about the topic, to normalise it, because there are many experiencing similar issues.
