Paige Palframan

I am a 22 year old keen animator originally from sunny Portsmouth now living in Cambridge. Inspired by classic cartoons from major companies such as  Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon, I sought to learn character design and storyboarding from age 10 by learning from and copying Garfield comic strips! My goal in the future is to work with similar companies, and create films and shows that inspire those just like myself, back when I was a small child who did nothing but draw characters and write stories.

My work features a lonely protagonist struggling with depersonalisation. Looking into the mirror after a nightmare, they are met with an unfamiliar face in their reflection. They then embark on a journey to the local nightclub, where in which – with a swift warning - their only friend offers them a selection of drugs to escape the hallucinogenic loop they seem to be trapped in. Once inside the club, the distortions continue, becoming increasingly more overwhelming, enveloping each other stranger at the bar, and distorting the protagonist into a whole different person. The film fades as it restarts from the beginning.
