Thursday 23 April 2026, 9:30 - 17:00
Cambridge Corn Exchange, CB2 3QB
Cambridge Music Forum is a student-built conference based on a simple purpose: to create a space where rising talent can directly connect with industry professionals. Our mission is to encourage collaboration, insights, and opportunities, bringing all who love our timeless art-form under one roof.
Devised and delivered by students from Anglia Ruskin University’s Music Department, this event will include panel discussions and fireside chats led by industry professionals surrounding the issues that emerging artists face. With topics such as supporting grass root infrastructures, the effects of industry monopolisation and what the future of the industry may look like.
Throughout the day we will host live performances from emerging artists and engaging activations from businesses within the industry to help young and emerging artists and future artists explore their potential and help realise their ambitions. Activities we hope to bring to the day will be live music, networking, refreshments, booths for business to share their work.
As a student-led conference our main goal is to offer opportunity and employability to the next generation of musicians and industry specialists. Our unique perspectives as students will help tailor the content of the conference to be beneficial to not just establishing our professional careers but will help elevate other students and young artists begin their industry endeavors.
Although our primary focus is to help students with employability skills and opportunities, it is not exclusive to the demographic. The conference will provide exciting activities and insightful knowledge which will be of interest to anyone already involved, looking to get involved or are simply curious about the industry, whether that be as an individual or a business.
