"Exclusively Mine"

Before starting my degree, I had little to no knowledge of the fashion process regarding the design and physical elements of putting together garments. I have now finished my degree and my passion for the process has grown after finding a love for Lingerie. In my most recent project I have spent six months developing a final collection which I feel represents me and my desire for self-love. I believe every woman should feel beautiful, confident, and able to go after whatever/whomever she wants. I have confidence that my collection exudes this concept and I hope this is a factor which other women will learn to love.

‘Exclusively Mine’ is a collection inspired by the ‘femme fatale’ frequently seen throughout the genre of Film Noir. This 1940’s/50’s theme allows us to perceive a woman who is desirable, confident, and unafraid to go after what she wants, in this instance: A gaze.

This collection’s focal motif of the dangerous woman is revealed using garments under the category ‘underwear as outerwear.’ A slight sex appeal from use of leather and zips endures the wearer to feel her best whilst leaving room for the imagination to wander.
