I am an animator specialised in character animation. While I have knowledge in several mediums of motion graphics, I have a great love for traditional 2D animation, and especially the collective charm of television animation, an industry I wish to work in in the future.

I have strong foundational skills in not only frame-by-frame, but in storyboarding and drawing out a concept. My love for animation has strengthened in recent years, going from an art I simply admire to a profession I wish to be part of. In the future, I dream to become an animator for a television animation company, as I have less interest in the development and conception phases of the work process.

My personal art has been heavily inspired by professionals in the industry, such as C.H Greenblatt, creator of several Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon shows, and Cody Collins, creator of The Odd Hustle. The exaggerated, fun feel of their work has influenced mine, and is the basis for the type of work I wish to create.

Echoes of The Road is a short, non-linear tribute to history through the life of an immortal named Ambrose. Alive since the beginning of time, he has grown tired of his long life and finds the world around him boring.

A musical performance at a Christmas market, however, brings him back to the different experiences and people he has met throughout his time, reminding him of the changing and unchanging parts of human history, the good, bad and the grey area in between. He finishes watching the performance with a new perspective, now with a new appreciation for the roads he has travelled down.

The film was created by two history lovers with a passion for showing the reality of history, a version not idealised by romanticised versions of the past nor the minimized, brutalized versions of past events and eras. Our aim was to show how humanity has evolved throughout time, and that human life  as we have known it, is meaningful regardless of what time period it exists in.
