I’m Basil, an illustrator from Northumberland. I love writing and illustrating comic stories and characters. I am greatly inspired by traditional folk lore/songs, historical costumes and writings (from Romans to 1920s). I love sewing, ceramics, making dolls, painting, pen work and digital drawing.

My main projects from this year have been illustrating a comic operetta ceramic tableaus and a trio of paintings of humans in bird habitats.
