Driven by a lifelong passion for arts, crafts, and particularly the world of sewing and clothes, I am a third-year fashion design student currently refining my skills. My journey, fuelled by a determined desire to work in a field I truly love, has led me from pursuing art in school to three enriching years of fashion design studies in Portugal.
The entire process of garment creation captivates me, from the initial sketch, pattern cutting to the joy of selecting fabrics and the satisfaction of bringing a design to life through sewing.
My time at university has equipped me with a diverse skillset, including a keen interest and proficiency in digital fashion. Beyond the technical aspects, I am guided by a belief in fairness and the profound impact of kindness. As a mother of two, my ambition to establish my own fashion brand is deeply intertwined with the desire to demonstrate to my children the importance and fulfilment of pursuing one's dreams.
The AW26/27 Reconstructed Dreams collection evolves from the raw emotion of "Deconstructed Dreams," portraying a journey of resilience and renewal. The runway embodies this unfolding story, moving beyond mere garment display.
Building upon the vulnerability and fragmentation hinted at in its predecessor – perhaps through unfinished seams and unstable silhouettes – "Reconstructed Dreams" meticulously rebuilds. This mirrors the slow healing process after emotional upheaval, embracing the future while acknowledging past lessons.
Design elements serve as potent metaphors. Architectural forms, like structured bodices, symbolize rebuilding and stability, tempered by delicate shirring that represents gentle mending and accepted vulnerability. Ethereal layered tulle adds complexity, its flowing movement hinting at newfound freedom and adaptability. This collection signifies a turning point, a gradual emergence from darkness into growth and strength.
