Hi! My name is Grace!
I’m a graduate of the BA (Hons) Animation & Illustration course at Cambridge School of Art. I’m proficient in TV Paint and the Adobe Suite, as well as Maya and blender.
Following my debut graphic novel Where Oskar Grew, I continue to create visually appealing illustrations that communicate compelling stories. I am especially passionate about fantasy and children’s graphic novels. I am currently seeking out a publisher to work for.
My work is heavily influenced by artists like Brian Froud and Iris Compiet, as well as the whimsical yet emotional storytelling of Where the Wild Things Are and Jim Henson’s Labyrinth. I specialise in stylised human and creature designs, often blending folklore, fantasy, and emotion-driven narratives.
Outside of my professional aspirations, I enjoy sketching traditionally before refining my work digitally, experimenting with watercolour textures, and immersing myself in films. books and games, most recently the Star Wars franchise.
Where Oskar Grew
When Ingrid’s brother Oskar vanishes into the forest, she sets out to find him—only to discover he has become something other than human. With the help of a new friend, she must learn to accept loss and learn to move on.
On the surface, Where Oskar Grew is a whimsical adventure through an enchanted forest, but beneath it lies a story about coping with the loss of a loved one. Through Ingrid’s journey with Trgvi (the troll), I aim to reflect the slow, often non-linear process of understanding and acceptance.
The story invites readers to sit with complex emotions in a gentle, visually rich space. This graphic novel explores themes of grief and acceptance, transformation and the cycle of life, sibling love and letting go.
