I am a graphic and visual designer originally from Shropshire (now based in Cambridge) who has had a passion for art and creativity for many years.
I have always dreamed of earning a living from my passion and have not been afraid to experiment in different forms of digital art such as graphic design, illustration, UX/UI design, motion graphics/animation, and 3D modelling, to find what it is I truly enjoy.
Outside of my work as a designer, I have worked as a chef part-time while studying full-time in digital media production, which has helped me work on vital industry skills such as teamwork, time management, and working in a high-stress environment.
I also have many different hobbies outside of my work, including music (mainly hip-hop), video games, playing rugby, and watching pro-wrestling. It is thanks to my time at university that I have been able to find out more about what I enjoy both inside and outside of my work.
Mic Check is a fictional London-based hip-hop music festival that aims to bring passionate fans of the genre together and celebrate how far it has come.
This project includes many different designs from posters and flyers to websites to merchandise that create a cohesive visual identity and allow you to imagine what Mic Check would be like if it were a real festival.
All the designs within this project were created to both express my own love for the hip-hop genre as well as to show my capabilities as a designer.
