My name is Louie, I come from London, and I love fast and silly animations! A lot of my work tends to take on a light hearted tone similar to the shows I grew up watching like Adventure Time and The Amazing World of Gumball. I enjoy how these shows create interesting and distinct worlds that allow their silly characters to shine with comedic writing.
I am also a big music, specifically rock, fan and love animating and creating while listening to it as it really gets my brain firing and focused. I feel as though I was able to bring together a lot of my interests, like music, photography and 3d modelling in a satisfying way which makes this short even more special to me.
I hope to one day become a 3D modeller either in games or tv, to help create interesting worlds for characters to exist in and interact with and continue to progress in my artistic career to make art that makes people laugh and remember.
My short We're Late is a fun and upbeat 2D/3D animated story of three siblings doing their best to get to school on time. Along the way they encounter silly characters that aim to stop them in their tracks, who the siblings will have to work together to get past.
The short uses 3D backgrounds combined with 2D animated characters to create an engaging and fast moving world that feels vibrant and alive, all stitched together with a board-game inspired map with 3D animated pieces representing the siblings.
