Fashion has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. What began as playful dress-up and designing for dolls quickly evolved into a creative calling — an avenue for expressing my identity without speaking a word.
This passion guided me to Cambridge School of Art, where I dedicated three years to refining my craft and developing my voice as a designer. The experience both challenged and nurtured my skills, enabling me to delve into the depth and diversity of fashion as an art form and a historical archive. It was during this time that I discovered an interest in historically inspired feminine fashion. The elegance, craftsmanship, and narratives embedded in garments from the past continue to serve as a constant source of inspiration in my work.
My design work focuses on reviving vintage aesthetics with a modern attitude —appreciating femininity through thoughtful silhouettes, textures, and detail. For me, fashion is more than clothing. It embodies emotion, history, and imagination sewn into wearable art, aiming to craft pieces that resonate with individuality and beauty.
As I look ahead, I’m eager to continue pushing creative boundaries, collaborate with other artists, and evolve as a designer rooted in passion, purpose, and a deep respect for the past.
This collection features five outfits that recognize and embrace the inner child that lies beneath the surface. As I grow and evolve as an individual, I transform into a new version of myself each day, continuously changing and developing. However, I still acknowledge the little girl within me that I wish to protect. When I am too hard on myself, I imagine speaking to her directly, repeating the same negative phrases I often tell myself. I remind myself to be gentle and compassionate, offering her words of encouragement and understanding.
This inner dialogue nurtures patience and kindness, not just for the child within but also for the person I am becoming. It is an ongoing journey of self-exploration, allowing me to celebrate my growth while cherishing my core identity. I am committed to advocating for her as a woman, ensuring her feelings are validated, and in doing so, I also support my present self.
Through this collection, I seek to express my current self and showcase the aesthetic in which I feel most comfortable. The use of sheer fabrics provides a glimpse into my essence, while at the heart of it all, the younger version of me is represented by a dusty pink, resting beneath layers of black, being lovingly embraced. Featuring delicate lace inspired by Victorian trims and soft silhouettes reminiscent of children's fashion in the era, this collection serves as a message to who once was.
