"The Last Show"

I am Regan Hindle, 24, a filmmaker and artist from Barking and Dagenham, an area known for its rough edges and chaotic energy. Growing up in this environment shaped my creative voice, inspiring a passion for surreal and artistic films that reflect struggle and resilience.

Drawing on the gritty reality of my surroundings, I create works that attempt to challenge and provoke, blurring the lines between dream and reality. In 2024, I released Girl Dancing, a short that explores my love of the surreal. I continued to explore this by directing my graduation film called The Last Show, a film drawing on the works of David Lynch.

The subject of surrealism has piqued my interest ever since I joined university. I felt a strong connection to visual storytelling and darker images that played with strong themes and unconventional time bending.

The works shown are projects I am very happy with and they have built up my skills but also helped me change as a person. From works inspired by David Lynch to my obsession with Garfield, they are very strange.
