Entanglement, 2025, acrylic yarn

I tie my practice in with my personal experience, how I see the world, which often reflects my interests at the time of making. Through this process, I create large-scale, tactile sculptures that explore my emotions about current personal events or interests.

I use my work to process the world and happenings around me, stemming from feelings of love, grief and paranoia, and often experimenting with the kinds of materials used. Though I often remain in the realm of fabric sculptures and textiles, I also venture out into other materials like wire and found objects. I enjoy the process of learning through my practice, finding pleasure in the making more than the result.

I leave my artwork ambiguous in meaning to let the viewer create their own story about the piece, allowing the being of the piece to be decided entirely by outside forces. Leaving the piece open for public interpretation leaves the work to take up multiple personal stories from the audience, often times overriding my initial intentions for the work.
