My name is Will. I am a UK based animator, with a focus on horror and other adult animation. I want to create animated projects for adults that have a focus on story rich narratives, as well as serialised televised animation. I am proficient in a variety of software, including the Adobe suite, DaVinci Resolve and TV Paint.
I am looking for opportunities to improve my portfolio and learn from professionals in the industry, through both freelance projects and full time work. My goal is to work with a studio that has experience creating projects made for television or streaming sites, particularly one that focuses on creating media for adults or older teens.
My short film NOT ALONE follows a young mother who’s quiet life is disrupted by an unexpected presence at her door.
The project is a homage to the horror films that started my love for the medium of film and to further my desire to see more animated horror media. I wanted to use this film as a means to practice my understanding of the genre and it’s conventions, as well as explore how I could best evoke the feelings of fear and discomfort in a medium which it is difficult to do so with.
The plot is simple, but I wanted to create a film that would convey an easy to digest story line in the time I was given, while still allowing a feeling of suspense to develop.
