My final collection photoshoot

Hi, I am Beth and I am an emerging fashion designer. I have recently finished my fashion design degree at ARU. I began with a foundation year and over the past 4 years I have been able to develop technical and creative skills. My work in my final year focuses on performance wear blending elements of everyday fashion with costume. I particularly enjoy working with leather, drawn to its strength, structure and shape. Through my designs I am keen to create garments that feel uplifting and empowering, allowing the customer to feel confident and strong.

As I continue to grow within the industry, I am excited to push creative boundaries and explore the relationship between performance and fashion.

Influenced by Lee Bull's concept of posthumanism, this collection reimagines the suit as modern armour for female performers. Leather acts as a protective second skin, inspired by Japanese armour and 1980s power dressing elevating strength and stage presence.
