Charlie Paine

Female British practicing artist who has found a love in painting and drapery. Focused on representing my style as an artist through to creating the surface I work on to painting. My main medium is oil paint which I love as it blends beautifully and lets me work in a creative way with plenty of time. Hopefully throughout my work on display you will see my artistic eye.

For this exhibition I wanted to encompass all I have learnt about my work and myself as an artist. Over the course of studying at ARU, I have discovered that I love creating a base for an artwork and then painting something uniquely mine. In this exhibition I have compiled all my work together and created new pieces,to encompass my artistic ideas and show it well. I want the viewer to see the world as I do, through my artist’s eye, seeing the small still lives, dresses, fabrics and the artists who have influenced me, in creating a series of oil paintings that show all these elements. Throughout the experience of the solitude of singular objects, it should show you the slightest hint of beauty within each piece of work and open your eyes to my artistic vision.
