I am Ella Cheung. Over the last three years of my fashion design degree, I have mainly focused on my cultural background, taking inspiration from my Chinese family. I am passionate about costume and theatre design and am looking to pursue a career within this. I have worked with the third year musical theatre production team which has furthered my love for the industry.

Layers of Expectation is a collection that focuses on the layers of identity that comes with multi-ethnicity. Cultural based prints represent the feeling of missing a piece of yourself whilst layered silhouettes imitate the outward representation of identity. Chinese and British historical clothing are used as inspiration and a reflection of familial connection.
