My name is Syed Shah. I am a third year Interior design student at Anglia Ruskin University. I am passionate about creating immersive spaces that combine atmosphere, storytelling and visitor interaction. I enjoy experimenting with textures, lighting effects, and digital visualisation to develop unique concepts. I have developed skills in AutoCAD, Sketchup, photoshop and spatial design.

My project is based at the Cambridge Museum of Technology and explores the theme of “Beauty in decay”. The project redesign is a small space inside of a museum (annexe rooms) by creating an immersive visitor experience inspired by industrial history and material transformation.

The design includes dark atmospheric annex rooms with glowing cracks, fog and interactive elements leading into a bright decay lab where visitors explore decay through hands-on installations and rust experiments. The project aims to make the museum more engaging, interactive and memorable for the visitors.
