Hi, my name is Uzuonu Osondu-Nwokoro I am a Digital Media Production student with a strong interest in fashion and beauty marketing, exploring how visual storytelling can shape identity, culture, and self-expression. My practice combines aesthetics, digital media, and contemporary branding to create content that feels intentional, immersive, and culturally aware.
Drawing inspiration from luxury beauty, and internet culture, my work focuses on transforming everyday fashion and beauty moments into engaging visual experiences. Through short-form video, creative direction, and curated design, I explore how imagery, movement, and narrative can connect with modern audiences in meaningful ways.
Throughout my development, my approach has evolved through experimentation across digital content creation, branding, and visual communication. I’m particularly interested in how fashion and beauty marketing can build emotional connection and create lasting cultural impact. I believe creative media is more than visual appeal it is a way of communicating identity, confidence, and perspective.
This exhibition reflects my growing creative practice and passion for contemporary visual culture, showcasing work shaped by mood, storytelling, and intentional design.
NÓU is a contemporary fashion branding project inspired by 1990s and early 2000s fashion campaigns, reinterpreted for a modern Gen-Z audience. The project explores how branding, photography, video content and digital design can work together to create a cohesive fashion identity across multiple platforms.
The outcomes include an editorial campaign photoshoot, stop-motion and cinemagraph video content, a mock website and a curated portfolio presentation. The project focuses on minimal yet expressive visuals, combining clean layouts with subtle colour and styling elements to create a contemporary aesthetic.
Social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram were considered throughout the project, particularly in the creation of short-form content designed for audience engagement. The project also explores creative direction, typography, colour grading and website design, while documenting the development process from initial research through to final outcomes.
Overall, NÓU reflects an interest in fashion branding, digital marketing and visual storytelling within contemporary media.
