Concrete Poetry: Trapped

I was originally born in Thailand, I came here to the United Kingdom to seek new experiences and learn new things to develop my skills and thinking. Since childhood, I have always loved to draw and bring my imagination through drawing. For me, drawing is the best way to capture and express my emotions, feelings and thoughts. I am always trying to find a deep meaning of things and take inspiration to connect with my art. These are the things that make me realize that I want to pursue the art career path.

The aim of my project Trapped is to raise awareness and reflect the experience of anxiety and stress. Learning about Concrete Poetry reminded me of when I experienced a lot of pressure and debated with myself mentally. I recalled the intensity of the emotions created by a load of words inside my head. What should I do? Why is this happening? I could not form any words, only emotions. This artwork represents that kind of stress. The art pieces are made from fabric and represent the alphabet. I put them together one by one to form a room that audiences can get inside. Some of them are formed into words, which I would like to encourage the audiences to find.
