In 1999, a series of grisly, religiously inspired killings struck the country repeating every five years, now in the present day (2024) the story follows two detectives who are trying to solve the biggest serial killer case the UK has ever seen!

Their pursuit forces them into a deep world where devotion becomes violence & justices becomes dangerously blurred.


Director Billy Wright is an up-and-coming filmmaker from Lincoln who began studying Film and Television Production at ARU Cambridge in 2023. With a strong passion and interest from an early age in all aspects of the filmmaking process-particularly creating his own original scripts to working hands on with cameras. This combination of creative and technical passion has shaped his approach to storytelling and continues to influence his development as a director.

Pentacide marks his directorial debut, inspired by his interest in the crime thriller genre and influenced by works such as Dexter, Se7en and Line of Duty. The film explores the dark intersection of crime and faith. Using this project, He aims to create a narrative that is both engaging for the audience, while also demonstrating his ability to build tension and atmosphere.

As an upcoming filmmaker, he is interested in telling stories that challenge audiences and explore the deeper and darker themes that are often overlooked. Looking into the future, he hopes to continue refining his skills, developing original concepts and bringing his ideas to life on screen, establishing himself within the industry as a hardworking director.
